Fee and Payout policy

OrbitStork Fee & Payout Policy
(A Supplemental Policy forming part of the Terms and Conditions)

1. Purpose and Scope
   This Fee & Payout Policy (“Policy”) defines how service fees, payment deductions, and payouts 

    operate on the OrbitStork Platform (“Platform”).
   It forms part of, and must be read with, the OrbitStork Terms and Conditions.
   If there is any inconsistency, the Terms and Conditions prevail.

2. Service Fees

• Platform Fee (5%)
  OrbitStork charges a platform service fee of five percent (5%) on the total order amount.
• Who Pays the Fee
  The Customer (Order Creator) pays this 5% fee in addition to the total order value at checkout.
  The Traveller (who fulfils the order) receives the full order amount as their payout, with no deductions.
• Purpose of the Fee
  The 5% fee covers OrbitStork’s operational and payment-related costs, including:
  – Payment processing and currency conversion charges
  – Platform maintenance, moderation, and fraud prevention
  – Customer support and infrastructure costs
• Fee Changes
  OrbitStork may revise its fee structure from time to time. Updated fees will apply to orders created after the new rates are published on the Platform.

3. Payment Processing 

• All payments on the Platform are processed securely through an approved payment provider.
• A 5 % Platform Fee applies to every order and covers payment processing, platform maintenance, and service operations.
• If a transaction involves payment in a different currency from the Traveller’s payout currency, an additional 5 % Foreign Exchange (FX) Fee will apply.
• This FX Fee is paid by the Buyer and covers cross-border exchange-rate and settlement costs.

     Customers are not charged any separate fees by the payment provider. Exchange rates and

     regional payment rules may vary but do not affect the Traveller’s payout amount.

3A. Cross-Currency Orders

• When a Buyer selects a Traveller whose payout currency differs from the order currency, a 5 % FX Fee will automatically be applied to the Buyer’s payment total.
• This fee covers the cost of converting and settling funds across currencies. The Traveller receives the full order amount in their payout currency, and no additional deductions are made from their payout.
  

4. Payout Timing

• Standard Payout Window
• Payouts to Travellers are typically released to their connected Stripe accounts within 3–5 business days after an order is marked Completed.
• Payouts may be delayed if:
  – The order is under review or verification
  – Stripe or OrbitStork requires compliance checks
  – Technical or account-level restrictions apply
• Minimum Payout Threshold
  Stripe may enforce minimum payout thresholds or regional payout schedules depending on the Traveller’s account setup and country.

5. Refunds and Adjustments
    The platform fee is non-refundable once an order has been paid for, except where a 

     transaction is cancelled due to a verified OrbitStork system error.

     For partial or full refunds, OrbitStork may, at its discretion, adjust or waive the applicable 

     portion of the fee.
    Refund timelines and processing are subject to Stripe’s separate refund policy.

6. Taxes and Currency
    All prices and fees are calculated exclusive of GST, VAT, or other applicable taxes, which may 

     be added at checkout as required by law.
    Orders are processed in the currency displayed at checkout.
    Stripe and/or the Customer’s financial institution determine any cross-border or 

     conversion costs.

7. Worked Example (for Illustration Only)

    Example 1:

          Order Value (set by Customer):  $100.00
         Platform Fee (5%):                         +$5.00
         Total Charged to Customer:        $105.00
         Platform Costs:                              –$5.00

         Traveller Receives (Payout):        $100.00

    Example 2:  In this example, the Buyer pays in AUD while the Traveller’s payout currency is 

    NZD. The 5% FX fee covers cross-border exchange-rate variations, card-network conversion 

    costs, and international settlement charges. 

          Order Value (set by Customer):  $100.00 AUD
         Platform Fee (5%):                         +$5.00 AUD

          FX Fee (5%):                                    +$5.00 AUD
         Total Charged to Customer:        $110.00 AUD
         Platform Costs:                              –$10.00 AUD

Figures are indicative and may vary based on Stripe’s local pricing and tax obligations.

8. Policy Updates
This Policy may be amended from time to time.
The most current version will always be published on the OrbitStork Platform.
Continued use of the Platform after publication of an updated version constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
